Salvation

I believe that every day is a constant struggle against the flesh, for as Paul said in Romans 7:15-20,
"For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practrice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me."

Jesus was a Jew. His Hebrew name is Yeshua, which means “salvation.” The Scripture plainly tells us that salvation is by Yeshua alone and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. An ancient rabbinic “word play” assigned to Him was Yeshu, meaning, “may his name and memory be blotted out.” This is what the modern, unbelieving world wants too – namely to forget Him. What is it about Yeshua that causes so many to bristle at His mere mention? You can discuss any of a long list of “religious luminaries” all the daylong and you might get a few yawns. If you want a passionate reaction, talk about Yeshua. http://www.ariel.org/sby.htm

Is the Alliance for or against Lordship Salvation?
I think I may confidently state that there is no one affiliated with the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals who takes a stand against the basic ideas of lordship salvation. That is, we firmly assert that one must have Jesus as Lord in order to have Him as Savior. The New Testament could not possibly be clearer on this matter -- see Luke 9:23-24, Ephesians 2:10, Romans 8:3-4, just for starters. We are saved by grace alone through faith alone apart from works. But we are saved to do good works, so that a professing believer who bears no fruit has no biblical grounds to hope for salvation. "We are saved by faith alone, but the faith that saves never is alone." Here is how we properly relate Paul's teaching on justification and James' teaching. Paul insists that works are joined to faith but not to justification. That is, to summarize Galatians, “Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for ‘The righteous shall live by faith’” (Gal. 3:11), and “In Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love” (Gal. 5:6). Faith in Christ alone justifies, but that faith works through love. Therefore, while Paul asserts that we are justified by a living faith alone, James denies that we are justified by a dead faith. Paul's affirmation and James' denial go hand in hand to present justification by faith alone, which faith always works. http://www.alliancenet.org/CC/article/0,,PTID307086|CHID559376|CIID1952786,00.html

C. H. SPURGEON
"Things that accompany Salvation."—Hebrews 6:9.
I am not quite certain that my text will warrant all I shall say upon it this day if read and understood in its connection. But I have taken the words rather by accommodation than otherwise, and shall make use of them as a kind of heading to the discourse which I hope to be enabled to deliver. I sat myself down, and I meditated on this subject—"Things that accompany Salvation." And after some period of rumination, my thoughts assumed the form of an allegory; in which I hope to present them to you this morning. I compared Salvation to a rich and costly treasure, which God in his infinite love and mercy had determined to send into the world, and I remembered that our Lord Jesus was so much interested in the bringing of this Salvation to this earth, that he did send all that he had, and came himself to attend and to accompany this Salvation. I then pictured to myself a great march of bright ones through this land, carrying in their midst the sacred jewel of Salvation. I looked forward, and I saw a mighty van-guard, who already had attained the shores of Eternity. I looked around Salvation, and I saw it always in every case attended with divers graces and virtues which seemed to be like troops and soldiers to guard it in the ran, about its flanks, and in the rear. http://www.biblebb.com/files/spurgeon/0152.htm

Can A Christian Lose His Salvation?
nce saved, always saved? Can a Christian lose his or her salvation after they have truly accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior?
There is divided opinion in the Body of Christ right now on this question. Many believe that you cannot lose your salvation - no matter how many bad things you may do. The Bible says that we are "sealed" with the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation and that nothing can break that seal - no matter how heinous the sin or sins are after that person has already been saved.
Others believe that God will not be mocked and that you can lose your salvation if you get into some of the more heavier and heinous type sins.
I believe that there are several verses in Scripture that really do answer this question - with one verse in particular. After studying these verses very carefully, it is my own personal opinion that a Christian can lose his or her salvation after having already been saved. However - I do believe that you really have to get into some serious sins before this will actually happen. http://www.bible-knowledge.com/Lose-Your-Salvation.html

BE SAVED TO BE SECURED FOREVER IN CHRIST, John 3:16
You are created to live happy on earth
Serving God or Satan depends on you.
You are either for Christ or for Satan
Living without Christ is living without life.
A life without christ is filled with darkness.
When you have Christ, your crises will disappear.
Give Christ a chance to reign in you.
It is dangerous to think you can live your life without Christ. Many have tried to live without Christ and of course their lives ended in a sudden disaster. Do not let your life be like theirs. Do you know whether the problem you are going through now is because you refused to surrender to Christ? Give your life to Christ. Try Him now and see a change. He will never disappoint you. If you had failed before he will make your life sweet forever. http://www.dominionfaithinternational.org/africa/salvation_guide.htm

SALVATION DESK
GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION
Many people are positive that they are saved. They base this on emotions. They may make certain comments, such as, "I am a good person. I do what is right. I’m not as bad as that other person. I had an experience with God. I feel that I am saved. I can feel God is with me. I know the Holy Spirit is inside of me. I am a preacher, or an elder, or a prophet. I am a preacher’s wife. I have prayed, and God answered my prayer. I believe in God. God did this or that for me. I sing to God. I sing in the choir. I go to church. I praise and worship God. I give my money to the church. I was baptized." While all of this sounds very nice, it is not based upon biblical knowledge. Many people, who are now in hell, have said such things. The Pharisees in the New Testament also could have said many of these things, but Jesus showed them clearly they were not saved.
