The True Hope Counseling journey has now ended. It wasn't quite
the way I planned it, but it is without question, the end of the
road.In the past two weeks, circumstances in my life indicated
that I needed to return to work. For a week I considered
rebuilding True Hope Counseling at a new office location, but in
the end, God led me down another pathway for work. This pathway
will allow me to continue to be a stay-at-home-wife-and-mother
while at the same time, using my counseling degree and love for
writing to reach other women. I will be writing for a new
website that will be launchig in coming weeks, and topics will
include everything from parenting to budgeting tips to meal
ideas to issues women face such as depression and eating
disorders......

What are the key
elements in the phenomenon of Christian pornography addiction and
recovery?
The phenomenon of Christian pornography addiction is becoming more
and more common. In fact, a recent Promise Keepers survey reveals
that over 75% of the Christian men interviewed have struggled with
this very issue. If you can relate, the good news is you are
certainly not alone. Every day, thousands of Christian men are
beating this addiction and you can too! The bottom line is, just
because this is happening in your life, doesn't mean you're a
hypocrite-it just means you need a little help.
When it comes to the origins and symptoms of this problem, Christian
pornography addiction reveals significant spiritual, physical and
emotional implications. First, many struggling with this issue
report feeling a distance from God; being stuck and cut-off from his
power limits our potential to break free. Physically, after
acting-out with porn and other forms of sexual addiction, a decrease
in energy, motivation, and sense of direction is common. God wants
to reveal His purpose and redemption power in our lives as we begin
to live soberly. Also, anger, shame, and guilt can cripple those who
are in the throes of Christian pornography addiction. Can you
relate?
We have all
sinned and deserve God's judgment.
God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for
those who believe in Him.
Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless
life, loves us so much that He
died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was
buried, and
rose from the dead according to the
Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart,
receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus
is Lord," you will be saved from
judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

Many people see Sex and Porn
addictions as the same kind of sin and illegal
act as Rape, and Sexual
Exploitation, Sex Trade and Sex Slavery. Many others
are seemingly unaware that each
of these acts are rampant around the world,
including right here in the
United States.
Again, just as with the
Rape/Sexual Exploitation, and Sex Trade and Sex Slavery pages,
we hope to both help educate, and
help families and law enforcement around the world
stop these plagues. There are

I created this website in response to what God did in my life many
years ago. I was a porn / sex addict for over 20 years, yet God
delivered me from my addictive behavior in an unusual and wonderful
way (see
the rest of my story). By sharing my story and what I've
learned since being freed of sex addiction, I hope to inspire others
to search out the One, Jesus Christ, who healed me.
With that in mind, this website is intended to help people discover
the truth about pornography and "sexual" addictions. While sex is a
wonderful, God-given gift, it can be abused like a drug for a
variety of reasons. Today, many people find themselves captive to
addictive cycles of viewing pornography, masturbation, illicit sex,
online affairs, prostitution, phone sex and other sexual activities.
